Juxtaposition - Part 1

What is Juxtaposition?

A placing or being placed in nearness or contiguity, or side by side; as, a juxtaposition of words.



2 types of Analogy
  • Metaphor
  • simile
Metaphor

Metaphor is when you use two nouns and compare them to one another. Unlike simile, you don't use "like" or "as" in the comparison. Ex: "Life is just a bowl of cherries."

Simile

A comparison between two objects using the words "like" or "as". Ex: She was as mad as a rabid dog.

In class, lecturer has give us something that very funny and creative things to do. Then he want us choose 3 number from 0-99. After that, he show 2 list of things to us and want us combine it with the number that we choose. So, the number that i choose is 10, 60 and 07.and the list that the lecturer give us is :



My WORDS that i choose is Flower Head, Duck Tree and Fly Tree. After that, lecturer want us make a sentences with these words and draw a picture for it.

10- Flower Head
60- Duck Tree
07- Fly Tree

Exercise 1 :

We have to create a sentence using the the random words.

1. I always used flower clip on my hair.
2. why those ducks rove through the large tree?
3. The birds fly over the tree.

Exercise2 :
We have to visualize our sentences.



Exercise 3 :
We have to create a new word by combining the two words together and create and illustrate the image or it.

2. Ducktree
3. Flytree
